Curse not the DOB...

I. Click here to READ Job 3 first.

II. One thing the Bible teaches: (having been afflicted with so many painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head...)

1 After this Job opened his mouth and cursed the day of his birth.

III. Reflection

* QuestionsShould we curse the day of our birth? Why or why not?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for teaching me that I should not curse the day of my birth since You are the one who made it and You count my years of living one day at a time including day one (Isaiah 43:6-7; Gen 5:5). I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your teaching that we are called God's workmanship (Ephesians 2:10). O Lord! My life will be rough at some points as I encounter difficulties or even travel through the valley of death. Vent it out as I must at the peak of pain, but please keep me from cursing my day of birth, as You have especially made it just for me. May my living glorify You. Amen
