II. One thing the Bible teaches: (Eliphaz made a statement for God, saying...)

15 Behold, He has no trust in His holy ones,
And the heavens are not pure in His sight;

III. Reflection

* QuestionsSpeaking for another person is already difficult; how much more difficult is it to speak for God?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that Eliphaz was making some very definitive statements for You__ that You have no trust in Your holy ones, and You do not view the heavens as pure. I thank You for reminding me that You did say, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways..." (Is. 55:8).  Please prevent me from being as disrespectful and arrogant as Eliphaz in speaking for You. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of the adequacy of Your Word (2 Ti 3:16). O Lord! Please discipline me to believe that if something was not written in the Bible, You just did not say it. Let me not use Your Name in vain by saying that You said something when You, in fact, didn't. Today. Amen
