Our God, the awesome God...

II. One thing the Bible teaches: (The Israelites were confessing their sins, saying...)

“You are the Lord, You alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and You preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships You. You are the Lord... 8 ... You have kept Your promise, for You are righteous... 31 You are a gracious and merciful God... 32 Our God, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God..."

III. Reflection

QuestionsWhen was the last time you prayed as such?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for reminding me that I seldom hear such a prayer as above. Not only had I not heard, I hadn't prayed this prayer myself. My prayers have been focused on my needs and on the needs of others, not on You and who You are (Isaiah 43:21). I thank You, Lord Jesus, for bringing me to this point and reminding me that glorifying the Father was always on Your mind (John 17:1) when You were here with us on earth. O Lord! Thank You for reminding me that the reason for my existence is to praise You. Please remind me to praise You for Your divine character, Your holiness, and Your supreme power, as shown in this prayer that You have led me to. Today. Amen
