God sees the neglected...

II. One thing the Bible teaches: (Haman suggested the most colorful and honorable way to extol the man the king delighted to honor. That man happened to be his enemy, Mordecai, the Jew whom he hated and had a scheme to destroy all his people globally...)

11 So Haman took the [kingly] robes and the [kingly] horse, and he dressed Mordecai and led him through the square of the city, proclaiming before him, “Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor.”  12 Then Mordecai returned to the king's gate...

* QuestionsWhat kind of person was Mordecai?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for letting me see a very humble and quiet man in Mordecai. When he was neglected by the royal administrative system, he did not complain. When his, and also his people's, enemy was forced to honor him publicly, he did not rub it in to humiliate the man further. He simply returned to the king's gate, where he was found. Nothing more was said by Mordecai on the honor that the king had bestowed on him. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for bringing me to this point and reminding me of Your teaching to love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me (Matthew 5:44). O Lord! Please train me to do this, for it is so hard. But I want to because I want to be called a son of my Father in heaven. Please help me, Lord, today. Amen
