 3 For Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King Ahasuerus, and he was great among the Jews and popular with the multitude of his brothers, for he sought the welfare of his people and spoke peace to all his people.

* Questions: What kind of a leader was Mordecai?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God, I thank You for showing me that Mordecai was the people leader. He was a leader who worked with his people and spoke to all of his people. He did not rule; instead, he led. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your own example—You did not force people to follow You, they just did from all over the place wherever You passed by (Matthew 4:25). O Lord! Please help me to be the kind of Christian You want me to be—the people Christian. Please help me to want to seek the welfare of people and to want to talk with them. Amen
