Pray for the non-believers to pray to You...

II. One thing the Bible teaches:

(King Solomon prayed in dedicating the Temple of the Lord...)

32 “Likewise, when a foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, comes from a far country for the sake of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm, when he comes and prays toward this house, 33 hear from heaven your dwelling place and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to you, in order that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your people Israel, and that they may know that this house that I have built is called by your name.

III. Reflection

QuestionsHow do we know from the above passage that the Lord is impartial? And that His child, Solomon, was likewise impartial?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that You treated various peoples of the earth alikeIsraelites or not. Not only do You hear their prayers, but You would also hear all their asking. You are, indeed, the impartial God, even though You can do anything You want to whomever You want. I thank You for showing me this impartiality in Your child, Solomon, who wanted to walk in Your way. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your listening to the prayer of a non-Israelite woman (Matthew 15:28). O Lord! Today, please encourage me to pray for the non-Christians. Please urge me to encourage the non-believers to cry out to You so that salvation may reach them... in Your mighty way. Amen
