II. One thing the Bible teaches: (about worshiping the Lord in His house...)

13 and it was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord), and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the Lord“For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever,” the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, 14 so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

III. Reflection

QuestionsWhat preceded the coming of the glory of the Lord in His house?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for letting me see that the praising of Your being good and Your steadfast love being forever was offered before the filling of Your glory in Your house. I thank You for this reminder when we sing praises to You in worshipthe focus must be on Your goodness and Your forever mercy and love. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that You Yourself remind us that You are the good shepherd (John 10:11) and that You are mercy-full (Luke 6:36). O Lord, please help me today not only to praise Your goodness, mercy, and steadfast love in worship; may my living reflect these beauties of Yours as well. Amen
