IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for letting me hear a parent's prayer for a child. David prayed that his son Solomon not only keep Your teachings but also do them (v19). Not only must Solomon be aware of Your teachings, but he must also put them into practice. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your Word that action speaks more loudly than speech (Matthew 21:28-32). O Lord! Please help me pray earnestly for my children today. Please help me today to be an example for them by being a doer of the Word, not just a lecturer of the Bible. Amen
