* Questions: What is the relationship between not counting and the Lord's promise?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for letting me see that David's ability, or inability, was the connection between his unfinished counting of the people and Your promise. It was either that David could not count the uncountable (v23) or that David did not know the timing of Your promise. In either case, it was right—and a blessing—that David did not finish the counting of the Israelite people. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your teaching that there are two categories of time—Your time and our time (John 7:6). O Lord! I confess that I do not know Your time! Today, please teach me to trust You even more since You know what is best for me and the best timing for it. Yes, Lord. I will trust You more than the numbers. Amen
