31 These also, the head of each father's house and his younger brother alike, cast lots, just as their brothers the sons of Aaron...

III. Reflection

* Questions: Equal treatment in the house of the Lord was very important. How was that expressed or carried out from the passage above?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me how equal treatment was respected in assigning worshiping responsibilities in Your house. Decisions were made by lot as people were treated alike regardless of their background. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your teaching: do nothing from partiality (1 Tim 5:21). O Lord! Today, please help me to treat my brothers and sisters in the community of faith equally and sincerely. Amen
