Holiness needs cleansing too...

II. One thing the Bible teaches:

28 For their duty was to assist the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the Lord, having the care of the courts and the chambers, the cleansing of all that is holy, and any work for the service of the house of God.

III. Reflection

QuestionsCan something holy be unclean? How does it make sense?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that it is totally normal for something holy to be unclean, especially when it is being put to use. The more the holy vessel is used, the more it needs to be cleansed. That is the expectation! I thank You, Lord Jesus, for bringing me to this point, reminding me not to confuse uncleanliness with unholiness, just as washing feet is not the same as wholesome cleaning (John 13:10). O Lord! Today, please help me live in this world as You intended for me to live. Please cleanse me every day. Amen
