1 And they brought in the ark of God and placed it inside the tent which David had pitched for it, and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God. 2 When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord...

43 Then all the people departed each to his house, and David returned to bless his household.

IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me the result of worship: blessing other people as king David did. I thank You for reminding me also that blessing is the opposite of cursing. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your Word that my talking to others ought to build them up for the benefit of the listeners (Ephesians 4:29). O Lord! Today, please let me show people that I am a worshiper of God by blessing, not cursing, them... starting with my family. Amen
