II. One thing the Bible teaches: (in the thousands who went into exile in Babylon, there was Jehozadak, the high priest of Jerusalem...)
15 and Jehozadak went into exile when the Lord sent Judah and Jerusalem into exile by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.
III. Reflection
* Questions: What was the message God wanted us to pay attention to when He used the hand of Nebuchadnezzar to send Judah and Jerusalem into exile?
IV. Application
Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that You are the Lord of all, not just of the Israelites. I thank You for letting me know that Your goal is to save humanity and You will use, as You did, any means and anyone You desire to accomplish what You intended to do, short-term or long-term. I thank You for reminding me that today, still, You may use evil nations and evil people, as You did use Nebuchadnezzar, to solemnly correct Your wayward children. You reminded me that You did call Nebuchadnezzar Your servant. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that Your goal today has not changed. You still want all people to be saved (1 Tim 2:3-4). May I remember to pray for Your work internationally. May I be aware that You continue to use any means and anyone You desire to accomplish Your goal. May I fear that my living may cause You to use evil people with evil means to set me straight. Please teach me to fear. Amen
O Lord! I pray for certain readers today to come to the realization that You want them to be saved, still. Please lead them to the cross when salvation has been done and is ready to be granted to those who are willing to receive. Please teach them to fear the absence of You in eternity. Amen
