II. One thing the Bible teaches: (Elisha's disciples were cutting down trees to build a place to live. One man's axe head fell into the water and sank. He needed it back badly because it was borrowed. He called on Elisha for help...)
6 Then the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And when he showed him the place, he cut off a stick and threw it in there, and made the iron float.
III. Reflection
* Questions: Why did Elisha ask such a question?
IV. Application
Dear Lord God: I thank You for letting me hear the prophet asking such a very basic question to solve any problem. Even as the prophet was about to do a miracle, he needed to know something about the problem--where it fell and sank. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your teaching, as You taught the church of Ephesus, to identify the place of my falling and repent (Rev 2:5). O Lord! The daily miracle of forgiveness and restoration cannot happen to me if I do not confess to You the starting point of my falling. Please help me to do that today--go back and to go forth. Amen
