Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that General Joab did have some stern words with the king. They were all true observations! But after presenting a long list of complaints and negativity regarding what the king did on his own behalf, he also offered three pieces of advice for the king to act positively on behalf of the country: to arise, to go out, and to speak up. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that You want the people who follow You to be people of action (James 1:22). O Lord! Today, please help me to act based on Your words. Please also help me to help others with actionable advice. Amen
