Dear Lord God: I thank You for reminding me that sometimes I did not pay too much attention to Your promise, particularly this promise You made to Solomon and his descendants in this Scripture--Your promise is valid forever. I thank You for letting me know that no one can make such a promise unless the promise-maker exists forever to honor it. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that You are the Alpha and Omega (Rev 22:13), the One who was at the beginning of time and the One who will be at the end of time. O Lord! You are mysterious, incomprehensible, able to do all, know all, and be at all places. Please give me the security of knowing that You live forever to honor all the promises You have made. Thank You, the all-good God. Amen
