III. Reflection

QuestionsHow did David show his wisdom in the above Scriptural passage?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me the wisdom of David, although he was best known as the man of war. As the time of his death drew near, he did not act on anything else, as he knew the thing that lasted long was not doing one or two more things, but leaving one or two last words. And so, he did leave words for his son, Solomon, and, as a result, the "kingdom was established in the hands of Solomon" (v46). I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your last words, "Go and make disciples of all nations..." (Matthew 28:18-20). O Lord! Today, please move me to make me go from my place for the Kingdom work. Amen

O Lord Jesus! I pray for certain readers today to act on Your last words for sinners, such as the thief on the cross. Your words reveal that there is life after death and that life spent with You is a blessing in paradise. May they act on Your last words to be sheep in Your fold. Today. Amen
