II. One thing the Bible teaches: (King Abijam committed all the sins of his father and his heart was not wholly devoted to the Lord... then he died...)
7 Now the rest of the acts of Abijam and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?...
III. Reflection
* Questions: What is the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? Is it the same Chronicles book in the Bible, or is it the history book of the nation of Israelites?
IV. Application
Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that there were other historical books of the nation of Israel that the Bible was referring to. I thank You for letting me see the human history aspect of Your Word, the Bible. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that if humanity has a book to record people's actions and occurrences, heaven could, and does, have such a recording as well (Luke 10:20). O Lord! Today, please help me to be thankful for the fact that when my past is replayed, my Lord Jesus will say that my deserving penalty has been paid for--done! Finished! I am grateful, Lord, for all that You have done for me. Amen
