Follow the Lord fully?

I. Click here to READ 1 Kings 11 first.

II. One thing the Bible teaches:

Solomon did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, and did not follow the Lord fully, as David his father had done.

III. Reflection

QuestionsWho were a few people who followed the Lord fully? And what were their rewards?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God, I thank You for showing me that Caleb was among the very few people in the Bible who followed You fully (Joshua 14:14). Solomon, the wisest and wealthiest king, was singled out as one who did not follow the Lord fully. He did follow You, but not fully! I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that You expect me to love You fully (Matthew 22:37). O Lord! Please help me today to be mindful of the fact that I am in the majority of those who do not follow You fully. Please forgive me, Lord, and train me every day to follow You fully and love You wholeheartedly. Amen
