19 19
19 “The beauty of Israel... the mighty have fallen! 21 ... the shield of the mighty... The shield of Saul... 23 “Saul and Jonathan were beloved and pleasant in their lives, And in their death they were not divided; They were swifter than eagles, They were stronger than lions. 24 "O daughters of Israel, weep over Saul..."
III. Reflection
* Questions: How many beautiful points did David mention about Saul? How many negative things did David recount?
IV. Application
Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that David recounted none of the many bad and evil things that Saul did to him--not one! I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your teaching about treating people kindly, the way I would want to be treated (Matthew 7:12). O Lord! Today, please help me to realize that there are always good and bad sides to people. May I choose to talk about their good side. May Your name be glorified. Amen
