Whether it's a promise or a warning-- God forgets not.

I. Click here to READ 1 Samuel 31 first.

II. One thing the Bible teaches: (in the final battle with the Philistines, Saul was seriously wounded, and he intentionally fell on his own sword...)

Thus Saul died with his three sons, his armor-bearer, and all his men on that day together.

III. Reflection

QuestionsFrom the time the Lord removed Saul as His favorite king of Israel until the day Saul died on the battlefield, how long was it (approximately)?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that You let more than 40 years pass before You fulfilled what You said to Saul about removing him as king of Israel. This was because he disobeyed You (1 Samuel 13:12-14). 40+ years was a long time, but it did come, and the warning was fulfilled. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that You are not late in doing what You need to do (2 Peter 3:9-10). O Lord! Please help me to trust in Your seeing and in Your choice timing as I am praying for Your intervention. Amen
