No chance of by chance...

II. One thing the Bible teaches (after devastating plagues, the Philistines rushed to return the ark of the Lord to Israel. They asked for the how-to instructions. They were told to prepare a new cart to be pulled by two special cows...)
8 Take the ark of the Lord and place it on the cart; and put the articles of gold which you return to Him as a guilt offering in a box by its side. Then send it away that it may go. 9 Watch, if it goes up by the way of its own territory to Beth-shemesh, then He has done us this great evil. But if not, then we will know that it was not His hand that struck us; it happened to us by chance.”
III. Reflection
* Questions: Could anything happen by chance?
IV. Application
Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that people then and, even more so today, loved to think that things happen by chance, and with that, by luck. Doing so denies Your ultimate reign over the creations. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that all things were created by You (Colossians 1:16)--very intentionally and without chance. O Lord! There is no chance of by chance in Your reign! Today, may I revere Your supreme authority over all things, and me. Amen
