Cry-o-limit, Mourn away...

I. Click here to READ Deuteronomy 34 first.

II. One thing the Bible teaches (Moses died at 120 years old after seeing the promised land that he had led his people to...)

So the sons of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days; then the days of weeping and mourning for Moses came to an end.

III. Reflection

QuestionsGod counts the days we live and, when we pass, He also counts the days our loved ones weeping and mourning for us. What significance does this have on the mourners?

IV. Application

Dear Lord God, I thank You for showing me Your mercy when You set a limit for the weeping and mourning over the passing of a loved one. I thank You for having such limits so that the living ones may pick things up and resume their journey of life. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that there will come a day when it is You who will wipe away every tear, and there will no longer be any death (Rev 21:4). That will be the peak of mercy--Your mercy. Today, Lord, please help me realize that each passing day brings me closer to the endpoint of sadness and pain. Amen

Today I pray for certain readers who are fearful and frightened of death. O Lord Jesus, please grant them faith in You who has triumphed over death. Please give them the comfort that You will walk them through the dark valley of death to see the light of the Son, again, forever. Amen
