Lean on Him, not Flee from Him...

II. One thing the Bible teaches
11 Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that hovers over its young, He spread His wings and caught them, He carried them on His pinions.
III. Reflection
* Questions: What does it mean by catching someone or something? Why is there a need to spread the wings to catch the youngster?
IV. Application
Dear Lord God: I thank You for letting me know that You do expect Your children to fall. O Lord! It is a relief to know that not only are You not surprised when I fall, but also You are standing by to catch me in the nick of time (v11). I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that as I receive support from You when I fall, I should support others in the same way as I was supported (2 Cor 1:3-4). Dear Lord, please help me to lean on You when I fall instead of fleeing from You out of shame. Amen
