Although God knows the intent...

II. One thing the Bible teaches (foretelling the days they will turn away from Him to serve other gods after having been satisfied in the Promised Land, The Lord said to the Israelites...)
21 . . . for I know their intent which they are developing today, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.”
III. Reflection
* Questions: Knowing then how badly they would turn out in betraying Him in the future, why did the Lord, the Master of time, who knows all, continue to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land?
IV. Application
Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me Your unimaginable faithfulness. Your knowing all, Lord, includes the endpoints, not just the checkpoints along the way. I thank You, Lord, for Your being gracious-- not treating me today for my tomorrow sin and not treating me even though You already knew my intention (v21). I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your selection of Judas Iscariot--and Your subsequent kind treatment of him. (John 13:21-28). Dear Lord Jesus, please help me to be like You — treating people for who they are today (the part I know) and not for who they might be tomorrow (the part I know not). Amen
