 6 “This is what the LORD has commanded concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, ‘Let them marry whom they wish; only they must marry within the family of the tribe of their father.’ 7 “Thus no inheritance of the sons of Israel shall be transferred from tribe to tribe, for the sons of Israel shall each hold to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers. 

III. Reflection

* Questions: What is inheritance? What is our spiritual inheritance?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God, I thank You for showing me the real potential for losing one's inheritance through marriage. Such was a problem for the Zelophedad's family. And as always, You give a solution when asked: marry within the clan in such a case. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that the Lord is my inheritance (Ps. 16:5). O Lord! May I ever be reminded, and remind my loved ones, that such spiritual inheritance will be lost by unequal yoke, particularly through marriage with unbelievers (2 Cor 6:14). Today, please help me trust in Your warning. Amen

O Lord! I pray for certain readers who are yet to have You as the heavenly inheritance. May they open their hearts to have You as the only Lord and Savior. Today. Amen
