Cling to God humbly, the enemies flee...

I. Click here to READ Deuteronomy 7 first.

II. One thing the Bible teaches(The Lord gave instructions to the Israelites through Moses in preparing them for the promised land...)

“When the Lord your God brings you into the land that you are entering to take possession of it, and clears away many nations before you, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations more numerous and mightier than you, and when the Lord your God gives them over to you, and you defeat them, then you must devote them to complete destruction.[a] You shall make no covenant with them and show no mercy to them.

III. Reflection

Questions: How to defeat the enemies who are greater and stronger than we?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God, I thank You for reminding me to not underestimate my enemies. I must know that they are greater and stronger than I. And they are many in life. Your Word reminds me today that to defeat them, I must humbly accept that they can only be given to me, first, by You. Nothing that I can do on my own (v2). I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that in all my struggles, You always are there to watch over me (1 Cor. 10:13). O God! Thank You so much for Your presence. Please help me to humbly cling to You as I walk through the day today. Amen
