There is a draft, but feel free to be at home...

II. One thing the Bible teaches (Approaching the battlefield and an enemy with numerous people, horses, and chariots, officers repeatedly gave their people choices depending on which category a man happened to be in...)
5 . . . Who is the man that has built a new house and has not dedicated it? Let him depart and return to his house . . . 6 . . . Who is the man that has planted a vineyard and has not begun to use its fruit? Let him depart and return to his house . . . 7 . . . Who is the man that is engaged to a woman and has not married her? Let him depart and return to his house . . . 8 . . . Who is the man that is afraid and fainthearted? Let him depart and return to his house...
* Questions: What was the common factor in the above Scriptural passage? How was this a strange military draft campaign to have people to get ready for war?
IV. Application:
Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me clearly that You are Jehovah Nissi-- You will fight for us (Exodus 14:14). And You do not need us to win the battle! I thank You for showing me Your way of drafting people--not to go to the battlefield but to go away from the battlefield. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your teaching about the fitness for Kingdom work--the need for undivided attention (Luke (9:62). Please help me, Lord, to realize that You do not need me to win the battle. However, please allow me in Your army, Lord, to witness firsthand Your triumphant victory with undivided attention. Amen
