A sprouting rod? It's a small thing...

II. One thing the Bible teaches: (To put to rest the question of who the head priest was among the Israelites, the Lord told them to put together the 12 rods in the Tabernacle with their names written on the rods. The Lord said...)
5 It will come about that the rod of the man whom I choose will sprout . . . 7 So Moses deposited the rods before the Lord in the tent of the testimony . . . 8 Now on the next day Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi had sprouted and put forth buds and produced blossoms, and it bore ripe almonds.
III. Reflection
* Questions: What was wonderful about the Aaron's rod?
IV. Application:
Dear Lord God, I thank You for showing me what was wonderful about Aaron's rod. It was not about its sprouting, although it did, while the other 11 tribal rods did not. It was about You not stopping at sprouting; You kept it going to put forth buds, produce blossoms, and bear ripe almonds overnight miraculously. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your generosity. You came so that we can have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). O Lord! You are a God of abundance, overflowing, and generosity. Help me, Lord Jesus, to pray and not give up trusting in Your loving-kindness. Amen
