Done unintentionally vs. Done defiantly...

I. Click here to READ Numbers 15 first.

II. One thing the Bible teaches(The Lord teaches about sins among His people...)

27 ‘Also if one person sins unintentionally, then he shall offer a one year old female goat for a sin offering. 28 The priest shall make atonement before the Lord for the person who goes astray when he sins unintentionally, making atonement for him that he may be forgiven . . . .   30 But the person who does anything defiantly, whether he is native or an alien, that one is blaspheming the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from among his people. 31 Because he has despised the word of the Lord and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his guilt will be on him.’”

III. Reflection

QuestionsThe Lord distinguishes two types of sin. What are they?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God, I thank You for showing me that, in Your holiness, there's room for the recognition of sin done unintentionally. Please, Lord, help me today to also treat my brothers and sisters to the benefit of the unintentional sins in life. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of sins done defiantly. Because of that attitude, severe punishment will be awaiting me (Luke 12:47-48). Help me, Lord, to have fear and not sin willfully. Amen
