To minister humbly and gently...

I. Click here to READ Numbers 2 first.

II. One thing the Bible teaches(The Lord told the Israelites the order of marching when there is an order to move on with the tabernacle being in the midst of them...)

The total of the numbered men of the camp of Judah: 186,400, by their armies. They shall set out first . . . 16 The total of the numbered men of the camp of Reuben: 151,450 by their armies. And they shall set out second . . . 24 The total of the numbered men of the camp of Ephraim: 108,100, by their armies. And they shall set out third. 31 The total of the numbered men of the camp of Dan was 157,600. They shall set out last by their standards.

III. Reflection

QuestionsWhich tribe of Israel was to go first to lead the march of God's crowded people? Who was the firstborn among the sons of Israel?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God, I thank You for reminding me that although Ruben was the firstborn, the Ruben family was not assigned to lead the march of the Lord's Tabernacle, and it was OK with them. There was complete obedience; there was not a slight disturbance or complaint, or jealousy recorded in Scripture. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of the importance of body parts working together for the same noble cause, which is the growth of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:16). O Lord Jesus! Help me today to humbly and gently do my ministry. May You be the motivation for all I do. Today. Amen
