* Questions: Why a double offering--dedicating a person to serve God and then paying for that person to stay serving?
IV. Application:
Dear Lord God, I thank You for reminding me that it cost, back then, to set apart a person to serve You. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for reminding me of Your teaching that, today, there is a cost to follow You also (Matt 16:24). Giving oneself to You is not enough; one must pay a price additionally. O Lord! Please do not let me think that I do You a favor by offering myself to You for service. Please help me look at the price tag to convince me that it is worth it to be a follower of Christ. Amen
