II. One thing the Bible teaches:
3 . . . You shall keep My sabbaths... 12 You shall not swear by My name falsely... 19 “You shall keep My statutes... 30 You shall keep... reverence My sanctuary... 37 And you shall observe all... My rules...
III. Reflection
* Questions: What is the one similarity in the above 5 verses?
IV. Application:
Dear Lord God, I thank You for bringing to my attention that You specifically declare Your possessions five times in the above five verses regarding five different things. They are important to You. They are Your rules, Your sanctuary, Your statutes, Your name, and Your sabbaths. Among them, You personalized the sabbaths--You called it "My sabbaths." You took it seriously when people violated it (Ex 35:2). I thank You, Lord God, for teaching me this personal aspect of the sabbath to You. Although You want me to rest from my work on this day, it has never been my day. To rest or not has never been my choice. It is Your sabbath; we are to observe Your sabbaths. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for fulfilling the laws for me already. With the freedom I now have, please help me observe Your sabbath out of respect and love for You, and not out of fear of being punished; I must not just go through the motion. Amen

Lord , help me to enter your sabbath/rest/ which you set example for me during the time you were on earth.Amen
