Lev 10

The Lord's ministry vs Personal thingy...

I. Click here to READ first Leviticus 10

II. One thing the Bible teaches: (after the death of Aaron's two sons from the Lord's consuming fire...)

Then Moses said to Aaron and to his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, “Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, so that you will not die and that He will not become wrathful against all the congregation. But your kinsmen, the whole house of Israel, shall bewail the burning which the Lord has brought about. 7 You shall not even go out from the doorway of the tent of meeting, or you will die; for the Lord’s anointing oil is upon you.”

III. Reflection

* Question #100: What were Aaron and his sons prohibited from doing?

 IV. Application

Dear Lord God, I am reminded today that You are a very strict God, even as You are a very loving God. When Aaron and his priest sons were officiating the Lord's work in the Tabernacle, they could not even mourn the personal losses of the sons and siblings from the punishing fire of the Lord. I thank You, God, for taking me to this point to remind me to remember to revere You, to fear You, and to carefully observe Your teachings. Please help me, Lord, not to disregard the Lord's ministry for personal things. And when I can't, please help me not to be self-justifying about it. O Lord Jesus! Help me come running to You to repent. You can forgive me because You have already paid the full price for my sins. You are a very strict God, but You are a very forgiving Savior as well. Praise the Lord. Amen

I pray for certain readers today to experience Your all-forgiveness. Amen
