II. One thing the Bible teaches: (the construction of the Tabernacle was progressing...)
1 Now Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood; its length was two and a half cubits, and its width one and a half cubits, and its height one and a half cubits; 2 and he overlaid it with pure gold inside and out, and made a gold molding for it all around. 3 He cast four rings of gold for it on its four feet; even two rings on one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it...
III. Reflection
* Questions: The dimensions of the constructions of the many articles and items of the Tabernacle were very detailed. Could we find any alterations made by Bezalel?
IV. Application:
Dear Lord God, I thank You for reminding me that Bezalel was the best artisan whose skills were given to him by the Holy Spirit Himself. Bezalel was given the responsibility of making artistic designs for the Tabernacle. The best artisan, though he was, and the well-skilled professional, though God made him to be, he never changed any of the detailed dimensions that were given to him, no matter how small. What a humble expert! What a faithful worker! Thank You, God, for taking me to this point to show me the model of obedience and humility in the Lord Jesus Christ--even to the extent of death (Philippians 2:8). As I enter this Holy week leading to the suffering and death of the Savior, please help me to be humble and obedient as a way to remember His sacrifice and teachings. Amen
I pray for certain readers who have yet to experience the love of the Lord Jesus. I pray that they will see Him on the cross this week. I pray that they will see His glorious and triumphant resurrection as well. Amen
