No holeless pocket and ungreedy heart...

I. Click here to READ Exodus 36 first.

II. One thing the Bible teaches: (after commanding God's people to donate their gold, silver, and other materials for the building of the holy place in the Tabernacle... the people who were responsible for the receiving and building of the Tabernacle came and said to Moses, saying...

...“The people bring much more than enough for doing the work that the Lord has commanded us to do.” So Moses gave command. . . So the people were restrained from bringing, for the material they had was sufficient to do all the work, and more.

III. Reflection

Questions: What word or phrase in the above Scripture speaks of the holeless pocket and ungreedy heart?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God, I thank You for showing me that the people whom You appointed to build the Tabernacle had holeless pockets and ungreedy hearts when they realized the donations and offerings from Your people were not only enough--not only more than enough--but also much more than enough. They were sure to affirm that the material they had received was sufficient to do the work--all of them and more (Exo 36:5-7). O Lord! May I have that character in living today that I will confess my sufficiency--that not only do I have enough but much more than enough! Please train me to be content (Philippians 4:11) not to have a deep pocket or a greedy heart. Amen
