Make me radiant by You, or else...

II. One thing the Bible teaches:  (after being with the Lord for 40 days and 40 nights,,,)

29 It came about when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the testimony were in Moses’ hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him.

III. Reflection

* Questions: Moses was not aware of his being radiant because only the skin of his face was. Why was it that only the skin of Moses' face shone from being with the Lord all these forty days and nights?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God: while I do not know why only the skin of Moses' face was radiant after being with You for a long time I do believe that being radiant after staying closely with a bright source of light for an extended period can be expected. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that on that high mountain in Israel over 2000 years ago, You were transfigured--Your face shone like the sun, and Your garment became as white as light (Matt 17:1-2). O Lord! I pray that my life will be radiant as evidence of being close to You, the true Light in my life. Else, O Lord, please draw me nearer and closer to You. Today. Amen
