See My face vs. Seek My face...

I. Click here to READ Exodus 33 first.

II. One thing the Bible teaches(Moses asked to see God's glory...)

19 [The Lord] said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the Lord before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion to whom I will show compassion.” 20 He further said, “You cannot see My face, for mankind shall not see Me and live!”

III. Reflection

QuestionsIs there a difference between "seeing My face" and "seeking My face"? Why did God encourage His people to seek His face (2 Chr 7:14) but warn that by seeing His face we will die?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord  God: I thank You for reminding me that You forever are holy, almighty, supreme, and authoritative. As for us, we simply are Your creatures! O Lord, it is here that Your heavenly love is displayed. While the authoritative God can be gracious to whomever He wants and can show compassion to whomever He wishes, You chose to be gracious and showed compassion to us, human beings. I thank You, Lord, for taking me to this point to show me that, because mankind cannot see You and live, You chose to come to seek us and die. The Lord Jesus showed us God the Father. The Lord Jesus is God the Father in the flesh (John 14:9). The Lord Jesus and God the Father are one. Today let me seek Your face because dead already I was in Christ. Amen

I pray for the readers who have not experienced life in Christ. O Lord! Please seek them and save them. Today. Amen
