II. One thing the Bible teaches(After Moses confronted his people concerning their great sin, and after he punished them with the death of 3000 people...)

31 Then Moses returned to the Lord, and said, “Alas, this people has committed a great sin, and they have made a god of gold for themselves. 32 But now, if You will, forgive their sin—and if not, please blot me out from Your book which You have written!”

III. Reflection

QuestionsDid God not know about the great sin? Why was it the first thing that Moses said to the Lord upon returning to the holy mountain?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God: I thank You for reminding me that You are the omniscient God and know all about my sins whether I confess them to You or not. But repenting must be very important to You because that was the very first thing the Lord Jesus urged people to do when He started His ministry (Matthew 4:17). O Lord! Please encourage me to confess and repent my sins daily though You know them all along. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for carrying the burden of sin for me. Amen

I pray for certain readers today who need to be forgiven of their sins. May they come to You to have that forgiveness and a life of peace. Amen
