One swallow No summer...

I. Click here to READ Exodus 27

 first.

II. One thing the Bible teaches(The Lord continued to give instructions to Moses on how to build the Tabernacle for Him in the wilderness...)

20 “You shall charge the sons of Israel, that they bring you clear oil of beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually. 21 In the tent of meeting, outside the veil which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the Lord; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout their generations for the sons of Israel.

III. Reflection

QuestionsHow many people were given the responsibility to keep the lamp burning through the night in the tent of meeting of the Tabernacle? Why that many people?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God: I thank You for letting me know that You were sensitive to people's limitations as they faced long nights, day after day throughout generations. Thank You, Lord, for encouraging us with the idea of shared missional responsibility within a group of people such as Aaron and his sons. Thank You Lord Jesus for taking me to this point to remind me that when You sent Your disciples out to do mission work, You sent them out in a group of two as well (Luke 10:1). O Lord! Today please put me in a group of responsible brothers and sisters to share the responsibility to "keep the light on" for the world around us. Please help me to acknowledge that one swallow does not make a summer. Amen
