The Greatest dwells in the smallest...
I. Click here to READ Exodus 25 first.
II. One thing the Bible teaches: (The Lord instructed Moses to have the Israelites build the Tabernacle for Him...)
8 Have them construct a sanctuary for Me, so that I may dwell among them.
III. Reflection
* Questions: Did God not say that He is too big for any place that anyone could build for Him? Why did He ask the Israelites to build a sanctuary for Him to dwell while traveling through the wilderness?
IV. Application:
Dear Lord God: I thank You for reminding me that we cannot build anything that can house You or that is worthy to have You in (Isaiah 66:1). O Lord! Your biggest love was revealed when You asked for the smallest place (45" x 27" x 27") to dwell in just because You want to be among Your people. Dear Lord God: I thank You for taking me to this point to show me that the model of humility continued through the Lord Jesus Christ. The highly holy God was willing to be with the lowly unholy human. He was called Immanuel at His birth to loudly and clearly send the good news to all--God with us. Please help me live a life that others can see that the Immanuel, the Christ, dwells in my life. Today. Amen
