God sees God hears God acts...

II. One thing the Bible teaches(Before dying, Jacob summoned his 12 sons; he declared blessing to each one from the oldest to the youngest. When he came to his 4th son, he said...)

Judah, your brothers shall praise you; Your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; Your father’s sons shall bow down to you . . .

III. Reflection

QuestionsWhose son was Judah? Was his mother supposed to be Jacob's wife? Did his father love his mother? Why wasn't his father attracted to his mother?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God: Thank You for reminding me that Judah's mother was Leah, that she wasn't supposed to be Jacob's wife, that she wasn't loved by her husband, and that she wasn't as attractive as her younger sister, Rachel. Yet, Lord, You are the God who sees. You are the God who hears. You are the God whose hand is not too short to act. And act You did! You gave such a woman the all-important role in Your plan of salvation. She led a lineage through her son Judah across the vastness of generations to the right time for the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ (Matt 1:316). I thank You, Lord Jesus. Knowing that You are the God who sees, who hears, and who acts, I am at peace. May I sincerely trust You as the Good Shepherd who knows each of His sheep. Amen

I pray for certain readers who are yet to be Your sheep. I pray that they will trust the Lord Jesus who knows their circumstances well and who is mighty to be able to help them in Your time and in Your way. Amen
