II. One thing the Bible teaches(The Lord promised to liberate His people from the bondage of slavery. He promised to give them land for their possession, and then He promised to be their God. The Lord told Moses to relay these messages to His people...)

9 So Moses spoke thus to the sons of Israel, but they did not listen to Moses on account of their despondency and cruel bondage. 10 Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 11 “Go, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the sons of Israel go out of his land.”

III. Reflection

Questions: How did God's people react to God's good news brought to them by Moses? How did God react?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God: I was under the impression that You would be very angry at Your people and that You would have Moses teach them a harsh lesson about disrespecting, non-believing, and being unworthy of Your attention and care. In place of those, I thank You, Lord God, for showing me that You are a very understanding God. Instead of getting angry at Your people, You left Your weary, overworked, and oppressed people alone, You went after the oppressor, the king of Egypt! I thank You, Lord God, for taking me to this point to remind me that today the Lord Jesus extends the same sympathy to me regarding all my weaknesses, frustration, and failures (Heb 4:15-16). Lord Jesus, today I will live thankfully for Your kind grace. Please help me learn to treat others around me with kindness and patience. Amen

I pray for certain readers who have not experienced Your kindness, forgiveness, and understanding yet. May they respond to Your calling, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Today. Amen
