II. One thing the Bible teaches: (seeing his people being forced into ever-increasing hard labor, and after he was confronted and assigned blame by his people...)
22 Then Moses returned to the Lord and said, “O Lord, why have You brought harm to this people? Why did You ever send me? 23 Ever since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done harm to this people, and You have not delivered Your people at all.”
III. Reflection
* Questions: Being a national treasure and a man very dear to God, what kind of a man was Moses described here in the above passage?
IV. Application:
Dear Lord God, thank You for showing me a very normal man of Your servant Moses here. You did not hide his raw feelings when He questioned You. You did not hide His frustration when He blamed You. You did not tuck away his statement of fact when he displayed what You haven't done for Your people. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that You are the truth and Your Word is truth (John 14:6, 17:17). It hides nothing and it does not have to always be rosy. Help me today, Lord, to be myself when I come to You. You allow me to be a normal person with raw feelings and frustration. Please remind me today, Lord, that You can handle me fine. I thank You, Lord, for calling me to come to You when I am tired, weary, and burdened. Amen
I pray for certain readers who are tired, weary, and burdened without a place to rest awhile. I pray that they will accept Your invitation to come and cast all their cares onto You without having to hide anything. But, first thing first, they have to come to experience You. Amen
