God so loved humans that He abandoned His own Son...

II. One thing the Bible teaches(The Lord instructed Moses what to say when coming to meet the Egyptian king Pharaoh to request to let God's people go free...)

22 Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Israel is My son, My firstborn. 23 So I said to you, ‘Let My son go that he may serve Me’; but you have refused to let him go. Behold, I will kill your son, your firstborn.”’

III. Reflection

QuestionsTo what extent did God go to show His love for His firstborn Israel?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me how much You loved Your firstborn Israel. You loved Your people so much that when Pharaoh did not let them go free from bondage, You intervened by killing Pharaoh's firstborn and all the firstborns of the entire Egypt nation. And as a result, they went free! O Lord! I thank You for taking me to this point to show me the endlessness and vastness of Your love for humanity. You loved us so much that when we needed salvation to get us out of the deadly abyss, the Almighty Father God, this time, was not willing to intervene as people were killing Your own firstborn and only Son on the cross (Matthew 27:46). The Lord Jesus Christ was that only solution to save humanity (2 Cor 5:21)! Dear Lord Jesus, today as I walk free from the bondage of sin and the horrific fear of death, may I voice up my "thank You" to You sincerely. Amen

I pray for certain readers who are still bothered by the guilt of sins and the horror of death. I pray that they will experience Your unparalleled love, the love for humans that caused God to abandon His own Son. May they come to the cross to be loved and cared for by the Lord Jesus. Today. Amen
