II. One thing the Bible teaches: (before the start of the great flood...)

1 Then the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation.... 6 Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth. 7 And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him went into the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

III. Reflection

* Questions: How many people entered the ark just before the great flood came? How many righteous people were there before the Lord in Noah's generation?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that there were altogether 8 people who entered the ark. The command to enter the ark was said to one person. And that one person was Noah who was the only one who was found to live rightly before You. I thank You for taking me to this point to remind me that the whole family was physically saved through one person. That happened then and it could happen again today since God does not change. O God! You can save my family from physical harm through me. Please help me live rightly before You. Please remind me that I can make a difference! Keep my loved ones from harm, O God, I pray. Through my living. Today. Amen
