Fewer days on earth More days in heaven...

I. Click here to READ first Genesis 5.

II. One thing the Bible teaches:

21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he fathered Methuselah. 22 Enoch walked with God[b] after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Thus all the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24 Enoch walked with God, and he was not,[c] for God took him.

III. Reflection-

Questions: How many generations were there between Adam and Noah? Who pleased God the most? What did God do to him?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that there were 10 generations from Adam to Noah. Enoch was the one generation that walked with You and pleased You the most. And, as a blessing, his time here on earth was only 365 years, or about one-third of his father's life. He was the earliest to go to heaven. I thank You for taking me to this point to give me a positive perspective of my days on earth. Fewer days here on earth mean longer days there in heaven. With You!

I also thank You for showing me that You counted the years You gave Enoch--and others--by days (v23). O God! Please help me live my life one day at a time because that is how You are counting. Amen
