II. One thing the Bible teaches:

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” 29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.

III. Reflection

* Questions: What did God do after creating man and woman? What were among the things He did when He blessed them?

IV. Application:

Dear Father God: I thank You for taking me to this point to remind me that after You created a man and a woman, You blessed them. And You blessed them in a very practical way--You gave them food. O God! In this new year, please help me to be practical in blessing others. Knowing that it is no use preaching to a hungry man, please use me to satisfy one's immediate needs before leading that person toward the needs in eternity. 

Also, please help me eat more plant-based food this new year per your instructions. Amen
