Integrate vs Alienate...

I. Click here to READ Leviticus 7 first.

II. One thing the Bible teaches(The Lord continued to teach about the rules for the different offerings and the consequences when such rules were violated...)

20 . . . cut off from his people. 21 . . . cut off from his people. 25 cut off from his people. 27 . . . cut off from his people . . .

III. Reflection

QuestionsIs the repeated phrase "cut off from his people" from the above verses active voice (taking himself from his people) or passive voice (being cut off from his people)?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God: I thank You for letting me know that being cut off from the people was a penalty-- something viewed as undesirable and unprivileged when a person violated the rules as instructed. I thank You for showing me that being with Your people is a privilege. And You intended for me to stay in the community of faith. I thank You, Lord, for taking me to this point to remind me of the oneness of the body--the body of Christ (1 Cor 12:12-15). Today, O Lord! Please enable me to integrate, not alienate, other body parts. Also, O Lord! Please help me not to take myself out of the body of Christ. I thank You, Lord, for establishing Your Church for me to take part in the corporate living. Amen
