Forgiveness follows the need to be forgiven...

II. One thing the Bible teaches:

17 Now if a person sins and does any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, though he was unaware, still he is guilty and shall bear his punishment. 18 He is then to bring to the priest a ram without defect from the flock, according to your valuation, for a guilt offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his error in which he sinned unintentionally and did not know it, and it will be forgiven him.

III. Reflection

QuestionsCan a person sin unknowingly? Can a person make an error without knowing it? Can a person cause damage unintentionally?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God, I thank You for letting me know that it is entirely possible that one can sin without knowing it. At the same time, it is entirely possible that the damages done, although unintentionally, could be many and costly. I thank You, Lord, for letting it be known of such unintentional sins and for providing appropriate solutions for them. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your Word that there is sin not leading to death (1 John 5:17) and that I ought to forgive to be forgiven (Matt 6:14). O Lord! Today, please remind me to forgive as I need to be forgiven myself. Amen

O God! I pray for certain readers to realize that they need to be forgiven. I also pray that they accept that You are the all-forgiving God. Today. Amen
